Bodytrek is coming to Forest Oaks Elementary March 17-April 17 and we need your help. Bodytrek is a parent/volunteer run program. Without your help, our kids cannot participate.
We must have a minimum number of volunteers each day in order for Bodytrek to open for the day. This is really fun and you will enjoy it! Please consider signing up to volunteer by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by returning the bottom portion of this form.
Bodytrek will be open Tuesdays-Fridays each week beginning March 17. You may volunteer all day or half day. High need days are: Wednesday, March 18-Friday, March 20, and Tuesday, March 24-Friday, March 27. Below is a tentative class schedule for Bodytrek. Please keep in mind that this is a fluid schedule, and there is no guarantee that your child will attend Bodytrek while you are volunteering. Younger siblings may not attend. Thank you!

This week we are learning all about story problems. Check out the questions we can ask ourselves to easily solve these problems.
We also learned how you can choose to “count on” in order to add more efficiently.
We enjoyed our class number talk this afternoon! The students are learning greatly from each other’s thinking!
We also enjoyed learning how to add using more than one addend. The students used cubes to help them see how addends can be arranged in different orders and still have the same total.
