5/8-5/12

Spanish I

This week, students will be practicing with house vocabulary and learning about ser vs estar. They will also start their exam review. All incompletes due this Friday.

Spanish II

This week, students will be writing a recipe and bringing the food to class. All incompletes due Friday!

5/1/17-5/5/17

Spanish I

This week, students will be finishing up and presenting their house projects. At the end of the week, students will start on “planning a party” vocabulary.”

Spanish II

This week, students will continue to work to understand and follow recipes in Spanish. They will have a test on 5.1 this Thursday, May 4th.

4/24/17-4/28/17

Spanish I

This week, students will begin to learn about house vocabulary and ser vs estar. Students will have a quiz on this vocabulary next Wednesday, May 3rd.

Spanish II

This week, students will begin to learn how to describe food in Spanish and how to prepare food according to Spanish recipes. They will also learn how to write a recipe. Students will have a quiz on this vocabulary this Friday, April 28th.

4/17-4/21

Spanish I
This week, we will start by going over our tests from last week. Students will then work to complete and perform their restaurant skits. Once they have finished their skits, we will start on house vocabulary.

Spanish II

Students will have a test on 4.2 plus preterite vs imperfect this Wednesday, April 19th. We will start on recipe vocabulary next.

4/10/17-4/14/17

Spanish I

We are currently working on ir+a+infinitive, stem-changing verbs, and all vocabulary from 4.2. Students have an open-note quiz tomorrow(Tuesday on ir+a+infinitive and stem-changing verbs). Students will have a test on all of 4.2 this Friday, April 14th.

Spanish II

Students are working on an ancient Hispanic civilization project this week. They will be presenting part of their project this Wednesday, April 12th. They will have a test on ancient vs modern civilizations and preterite vs imperfect next Tuesday, April 18th

What’s happening in Spanish this week and next?

Spanish I

Students are reviewing the verb “ir,” places around town, and what can be done at places around town. We are also working on restaurant vocabulary.

Spanish II

Students are working on an ancient Mexican civilization project. This will be due this coming Tuesday.

3/20/17-3/24/17

Spanish I

Students will be tested on weather, clothing, colors, e to ie stem-changers, tener phrases, and direct object pronouns this Wednesday, March 22nd. Their study guide is due on Wednesday, March 22nd. We will be watching a movie Thursday and Friday.

Spanish II

Students will be tested on preterite vs imperfect this Wednesday, March 22nd. Their PRETERITE VS IMPERFECT folder and their PRETERITE VS IMPERFECT study guide is due on Wednesday, March 22nd. We will be watching a movie Thursday and Friday.

3/13/17-3/17/17

Spanish I

This week, students will learn how to talk about how much things cost in Spanish. They will also learn about direct and indirect object pronouns. Students will be tested on clothing, shopping, cost, stem-changing verbs, direct object pronouns, and indirect object pronouns on Monday, March 20th. They will be given a study guide this Friday.

Spanish II

We will continue to learn about the similarities and differences between the preterite and imperfect tense this week. Students will be tested on the preterite vs the imperfect next Wednesday, March 22nd.

3/6/17-3/9/17

Spanish I

This week, students will continue to learn how to describe clothing and shopping experiences using stem-changing verbs, colors, etc. The 3rd quarter ends at the end of this week. All missing assignments must be completed.

Spanish II

This week, students will continue to practice how to describe their childhood with the imperfect. They will complete a childhood project this week as well.
