Why do you predict this change happened?

    • Draw a line and write today’s date (4/27/2017). You will have 5 minutes to write freely and continuously about the following prompt: “The course of true love never did run smooth” (1.1.135) so says Lysander. Why is this? Why is the road of love so often bumpy? What experiences (not necessarily personal) have you witnessed where love is a rough road. If it’s a good thing, shouldn’t it be easy?

  • Character Quiz 1 retakes (any students who scored 24/34 on the multiple choice portion will be allowed to retake for partial credit). The study guide is still posted below if you need help remembering what to review for the quiz! Good luck! 🙂
  • Writer’s Notebook:

    Draw a line and write today’s date (4/28/2017). You will have 5 minutes to write freely and continuously about the following prompt: select an exchange between at least 2 characters that we’ve read and change it from Shakespeare’s English into any kind of slang or “traditional” English you want. You could use country, valley girl, surfer, lawyer, etc. Have fun and be creative!

    For example:
    Sampson: If I see those Montague bros, I’m going to give them a mad beat down!
    Gregory: Chill out, Sampson, ya wildin’ out.
    Sampson: If they trigger me, I have something for them. (He grips his gun to show he is ready to shoot.)
    Gregory: Yo, don’t be a freak with that gun! Trying to act hard may cost you your life!

    Note: I will be sending an itemized letter home with each student who is missing assignments today. Each student will be allowed 2 weeks to makeup any assignments, test, or quizzes. After the two week mark, the grade will remain a 0. School is almost over and I want to see each and every student earn all their points and succeed!
