Class Novels

In ELA class, we read three major novels (along with various works of fiction and nonfiction). Students are required to have a copy of each novel that they can annotate and take home with them. Therefore, library copies and/or digital copies are not allowed unless given special permission by me.

S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders

This novel will be the first one we read this year. Since we are starting it so close to the beginning of the year, we do not have time to do a book order through the school. If you have trouble ordering it on your own, please let me know as soon as possible. I have TONS of used copies available for students to pick up and KEEP. These books will be available on a first come, first served basis. Update: I am OUT of copies.

Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None

We will read this novel in the second nine weeks. The official due date is not available at this time. I also have several copies of this novel that students may pick up and keep.

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (No Fear Shakespeare version)

We will read this play during the fourth nine weeks. It is very important that your student has the No Fear Shakespeare version of this play. I have several used copies that will be available to our students for free.
