Flu/sick/away from school

August 26, 2009 on 7:40 pm | In General Info | No Comments

I know that many of you are sick, have the swine flu, have some other virus, or are away from school for other reasons. I hope you feel better soon if you are sick. Please try to keep up with the notes and work if possible. This is not for my benefit but for your benefit. Who would want to come back to school with 4 or 5 days worth of homework in every class? You should be able to do the math work if you read the notes and understand them. If you have a question, do not hesitate to post it on the blog and I will respond as soon as I am able. Be sure to check the blog after you post to see my response. I edit your posts and attach my response to the bottom before posting it for the world to see. If that doesn’t work, email me at cburdett@shelbyed.k12.al.us and I will respond as soon as possible.

Welcome to 7th Grade!!!

August 11, 2009 on 7:15 pm | In General Info | No Comments

Welcome to the 7th grade Blue Team. I look forward to a successful and productive year. I plan to use the blog more this year to stay in touch with the students. I post my class notes and any worksheets daily and post my homework weekly on the blog. I make every attempt to keep it up to date. Because I am one of the OMMS baseball coaches, this year I plan to create an area of the blog devoted to the OMMS baseball team. Also this year, in an attempt to reduce the number of copies I use, I will be using the blog to post review worksheets, multiple choice test style reviews, and other work that would normally be copied. I am available almost every morning before school from 7:20 to 7:50 and I will be posting a pass to my classroom that students can print. I look forward to staying in touch with students so feel free to post replies. All replies must be approved by me before they post so I will not approve any “Hey Mr. Burdett” posts. This is for OMMS, Blue Team, Baseball and classroom stuff so keep all posts related to that. See you Thursday. CB

There are many things that you must be keeping mind in order to help yourself getting things better and get the training you need, but the most important things you should never forget are:

You should never enroll or opt to enroll in courses which are wide apart as you will be stuck nowhere and may have to manage things that you are not familiar with. In case if you are likely to get more courses you may consider to have enrolled in courses that you like the most, you should consider having the ones which are related or have similar content in them as well as same level and area of training.

As for example if you are going to attend the Business Management Courses, you should be aware that instead of aged care course you must be looking forward to get to the Diploma Of Business Management.

Further you should know that if you have to get to the top level courses you should not hesitate to enroll in the preliminary courses as they would help you learn things better.
