FYI – Here are a few things to keep in mind:
* Your child needs to read nightly for 20 minutes.
* The math homework sheet is given out on Monday and is due back on Friday.
* The school is collecting Boxtops and Can Labels for funds for our school. Please support our school by sending these in.
* Please use the Publix keychain cards that were sent home at the beginning of the school year when shopping at Publix. They will donate a portion of the money that you spend to our school. Also, sign up for the school rewards debit card at Target. This is a free program in which Target will donate a portion of the money that you spend to our school.
Classwork is given daily. All assignments are to be completed in a timely manner. Special assignments will be given throughout the year to encourage your child to utilize various sources of references.
Every student should read nightly for 20 minutes. Math homework is assigned for nightly completion. Additional assignments may be sent for homework at times. Homework assignments are due the following day after the assigned day.
Check daily folder every afternoon when your child arrives home. You and I will use this folder to communicate daily. The Behavior Log is kept in this folder.
Assignments from the previous week are sent home on Wednesdays for your viewing. Leave all assignments stapled. Please initial each assignment, place them back in the folder, and return them to the school on the following day.
All students are expected to display good behavior at all times. No one has the right to disrupt the classroom or stop other students from learning. The MES discipline plan is located in the Student Handbook. The behavior consequences are implemented in all grades.
Behavior Consequences: 1st Strike – Silent Lunch
2nd Strike – Phone Call Home
3rd Strike – Office Referral
