ANNOUNCEMENTS: 4/28/15

All FBLA members need to meet in Mrs. Cook’s room at the beginning of 5th period today.

First Priority will be hosting “Meet Me at the Bleachers” this Wed., 4/29, at 7:15 a.m. in the bleachers at the football field. Join us for free doughnuts and juice and a powerful message.

CHMS cheerleaders are hosting a Zaxby’s night, tonight (4/28) 5:00-9:00 p.m. Come out and support our lady hornets.

Any 8th grade Girl interested in trying out for the High School Basketball team, tryouts will be May 5th, 6th, and 7th from 5:30-7:30 in the High School Gym. You will need an updated physical and a Tri-Form in order to tryout. Please see Coach Brown to sign up and get the necessary forms.

The Spring Pageant is May 9th at CHHS at 2:00 p.m. and we need participants! If you want to have fun dressing up like a princess, turn your forms and payment in by May 1st. That’s next Friday, so don’t wait!! Forms are available from Mrs. Nivens or in the office.

Organized Chaos ‘OC’ will be this Friday, May 1, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
NEW this year per Principal Gunn, if you purchase your armband on Thursday April 30, during lunch, you will be able to wear athletic shorts to school on Friday May 1, to attend OC that afternoon.
Armbands will also be sold during lunch on Friday May 1.
Armbands are $10.00
We will have for sale: cool whip pies and eggs for $1.00 each – for the pie and egg throw
Concessions will be $1.00 each
New this year will be a COLOR Relay Course with the powder paint….
Mud pools, Flour Bombs, Chocolate Crawl, Hair Spray, ALL OUT CHAOS and Dirtiness!!!! Come Join in on the fun!!!

We are looking for applicants for the Peer Helper program for next year. You need to be able to work across different groups and stand up for your personal morals and values. Above all, you have to be trustworthy, empathetic, open-minded and good listeners. The only academic requirement is no more than one “C” each 9-weeks of this school year. Peer Helpers will receive on-going training on a variety of topics and skills and will possibly serve as peer listeners, tutors and ambassadors. If this describes you, then we encourage you to pick up an application from Mrs. Rogers in the counseling office. Applications will be due back no later than May 8th.

The 8th Grade Graduation Banquet will be May 19th from 7:00-9:00. Tickets will cost $10 from May 4-8 and will cost $15 from May 11-15. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Ticket costs include your entrance to the dance along with a catered meal. Dress is semi-formal.
