ANNOUNCEMENTS: 5/04/15
The Spring Band Extravaganza is this Friday, May 8, 7:00 p.m. in the high school GYM. Come out and hear all 5 of our “superior” bands from 6th-12th grades. We are accepting non-perishable food items for admission at the door for the Heavenly Smiles Food Pantry to benefit needy families here in Chelsea.
Upcoming 9th Grade Students: The course verification deadline has passed but schedule change forms are available the week of May 4th in the counseling office. There is a $25 schedule change fee that you must attach when you turn it in. The fee and form are due by Friday, May 8.
Any 8th grade Girl interested in trying out for the High School Basketball team, tryouts will be May 5th, 6th, and 7th from 5:30-7:30 in the High School Gym. You will need an updated physical and a Tri-Form in order to tryout. Please see Coach Brown to sign up and get the necessary forms.
The Graduation Banquet is May 19th from 7:00-9:00. Tickets cost $10 from May 4-8 and cost $15 from May 11-15. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Ticket costs include your entrance to the dance along with a catered meal. Dress is semi-formal. To be included in the class video, which will be shown at the banquet, email Ms. Houston a baby picture and a current picture in a picture format like jpg. Only electronic versions of pictures will be accepted. The deadline to turn in pictures is May 8th. It is your responsibility to make sure your picture makes the class video.

• Yearbooks will be distributed next Wednesday, May 6th during GPS. If a student is unsure about whether or not they have ordered a yearbook, they can email Mrs. Nivens or ask her before school or during 5th period.
• A limited supply of extra books will go on sale for $50 on Thursday morning, May 7th from 7:10-7:40 in Mrs. Nivens classroom (room 42). We will NOT hold any books. You may pay with cash or a check. If you write a check, please make it out to CHMS and include a phone number. There is no way to order more books at this point, so when the extras are gone the sale will end.
