Good Afternoon, I wanted to share some updates about the great things happening at Chelsea Middle School.
• Construction is coming along well. The gym floor has been completed, and new bleachers will be installed in the next 2 weeks.
• Renovations to the restrooms on the 8th grade hall have been completed, and the restrooms are open to all students.
• We expect all renovations to be completed in October. At that point, we will have new boys and girls locker rooms, a refinished floor and bleachers in the gym, new floors in all parts of the building, new restrooms on the 8th grade hall , two new hallways, and sets of stairs that will alleviate overcrowding in the hallways and increase accessibility between the 6th grade wing and the main building.
• Our 6th graders are doing a great job adjusting to middle school and are getting great reports from our teachers.
• We will schedule open house when we have a clear date of when all construction will be completed. If you have concerns please call and schedule conferences with your child’s teachers.
• We had a very successful Teen Night Out this past Friday. The kids did a great job and had a lot of fun. I appreciate your patience with the car rider line; it is particularly difficult for after school events.
• Chelsea Middle has gotten off to an excellent start in 2015-2016! Thank you for your support!!!
