English Language Arts –   Today in class, we read our class reading, Al Capone Does My Shirts. For the next few days we will be finishing up our class reading and moving on to a new class read and Language Arts unit next week.

Today in class, continued from yesterday, students complete the  Armistice – End of WWI – Students used IPADs and BYODs in class to complete an interactive skill activity.  We also discussed as a class about the end of WWI.  Test will be next Thursday, February 5th.

DONT FORGET!!!! TOMORROW – Mrs. Nelson will be available every WEDNESDAY morning, 7:25-7:45 AM  to help and support students that would like to catch up on their work, discuss skills and strategies to help students, allow reading time, and help support students that would like additional clarification of lesson materials that have been taught. Students are to use the morning hall pass that is kept in their binders. The hall pass will allow students to come to see me on Wednesday mornings.  Also, please feel free to see me on Thursday mornings in the gym, 7:15-7:45 AM. Don’t wait until it’s too late, take advantage of these opportunities!!!

Today in class, students: 3rd period – Students went on a interactive virtual field trip today. Student were given the opportunity to understand the relationship between a team’s history, geography and its NFL nickname. Student were able to interact live with other students across the state.   6th period – World War I – Chapter #8 WWI – M A I N Graphic Organizer  discussion of the 4 branches of the military, militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism.
