R: Restate the question-Take the question and turn it into a statement for your first sentence.

A: Answer the questions-Make sure you know what the questions is asking, and make sure you answer ALL parts of the questions.

C: Cite the source-Make sure you tell where your information came from: Ex-The text states…, In paragraph 2…, The author states…; You also need to include a quote as an example to support your answer

*If the question asks what you think or for your opinion, you are the source. Therefore, you would use examples such as- I believe…, I think…, In my opinion…; and you wouldn’t have a quoted example here because you are only providing your opinion.

E: Explain your answer- Make sure you explain you answer fully, and this includes explaining the quoted example you used.

C: Capitalization: Make sure you go back and check that everything that should be capitalized, is.

P: Punctuation: Make sure you have provided punctuation marks anywhere that they are needed.
