On Tuesday, March 20th, Helena High School will administer the ACT to all 11th grade students. For all other students in grades nine, ten, and twelve, an E-Day (electronic learning day) has been approved by the Shelby County Board of Education. See details below
- On March 20th, students in grades nine, ten, and twelve will receive all of their classroom instruction and assessments online, through the Google Classroom platform, and will be required to complete these assignments while at home. The assignments will be posted to Google Classroom by the end of the school day on March 19th. Teachers will clearly communicate their timeline for students turning in their E-Day assignments.
- Students in grades nine, ten, and twelve should not come on campus on March 20th; however all 11th grade students must be present on the 20th to take the ACT. For 11th graders, they should report to school by the normal start time of 8:10 am. Once ACT testing is completed for the day, school is dismissed for 11th grade students.
