About Mrs. Alaimo

The 2022-2023 school year will be my 15th year as an Oak Mountain Eagle. I currently teach Math 7 Accelerated for the 7th grade Red team. Outside of the classroom, I have been a coach for the volleyball program for my first ten years taking a couple seasons off to spend with my family including my 4-year-old and 7 month old sons. I am a proud graduate of the University of Montevallo where I earned both a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and a Masters of Education.

I married my best friend a little over five years ago and will forever be working helping people learn how to pronounce this fun last name. As my husband was not fond of some of the pronunciations growing up and never really told people how to say the name, I will help you to learn the real way! Alaimo: Ah-lime-oh

I love sports, music, and traveling! COVID has made attending events challenging, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities to spend time reflecting and with family during quarantine and transitioning back to as normal of life as possible.

My years in the classroom have been an amazing experience, and I hope that all of my former and future students made the most of the past challenges and are ready to see what we can accomplish in this unprecedented year! Good luck in college, high school, and eighth grade to my former students, and I look forward to this 2022-2023 school year with my new 7th grade students. Remember, I have high expectations for each and every one of you to be successful in doing your best this year in and out of the classroom at OMMS!
