After studying the effects of erosion caused by water, we experimented with creating a dam to protect pretend houses. I was very impressed with the creativity in each design! Our class may have some future engineers. 🙂
The 2017 total eclipse was an exciting day at school! We celebrated by eating moon pies and Starbursts. A big thank you to our room mom, Mrs. Epperson, for such a thoughtful treat!
We had so much fun studying whether a volcano can pop up in your yard! We determined it is very unlikely by looking at the patterns of other volcanoes that have occurred near the Ring of Fire. We also studied why some volcanoes explode and others do not by looking at types of lava.
These are pictures that we took the first day of school! It will be fun to see how much everyone changes by the end of the year.
If you were unable to attend the Parent Orientation last night, I am emailing a copy of the PowerPoint that was presented. I’m sorry I am unable to post it here on the blog. The site is blocking me from posting if for some reason. 🙁 Also, please let Mrs. Martinez or me know if you have any questions.
