Don’t forget that school pictures will be taken on Wednesday, September 6th during your child’s P.E. class.
This Friday students are allowed to make a minimum $2 donation to benefit Hurricane Harvey victims. If they make a donation, they will be allowed to wear sweatpants or joggers to school on that day. Money will be taken up in their first period class.
If anyone is interested in being a “voice” for fellow students by joining the SGA, they need to pick up an application packet from Mrs. Higginbotham, Mr. Wood, or Mrs. Polizos by Thursday. Completed packets should be turned it in to one of these teachers by Friday.
On Wednesday, students were given a permission form to participate in an outdoor viewing of the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21. Signed forms are due by this Friday to their sixth grade teacher. Students without permission forms will not be allowed to participate in the outdoor viewing.
Please don’t forget that Sixth Grade Parent Open House is Monday night, August 14th, at 6:00 p.m. You will need to know your child’s first period teacher’s name and room number when you arrive and we will provide the rest of their schedule for you. We should be finished by 7:30 p.m.
Some extra supplies that we could use in our classroom if you would like to make a donation are:
skinny dry erase markers
large bag of hard candy
Thank you so very much!
Welcome to sixth grade! This blog will be an important life line between home and school this year. Please choose the correct page above when looking for materials that are specific to my math or ELA classes. I look forward to seeing parents on the evening of Monday, August 14th at 6:00 p.m. It is going to be a terrific year!
