Gold Grade “Governments Around the World” Project is due by the end of the day Friday, October 9, 2015. Research will be finished tomorrow during class, and Part II will begin. 1)Your Final Essay
2)The Peer Review Checklist that was completed on your paper
3)The original (rough draft) essay that was edited

The School Year has arrived…ready or not! We are starting out the gate with several SGA activities:
Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5th – SCBOE Kickoff Classic (SGA serving as ambassadors/hospitality)
-Meet at 7:30AM at the McChesney Student Activity Center (see attached map). It is just down the hill from the president’s house on the UM campus.
-Wear blue MHS shirt given to you this summer. If you have not picked yours up, please come by the school today to do so.
-We should be done by around 9:00am, as we are mainly greeting faculty and staff from around Shelby County.
Friday, August 8th – Remember Ollie Day. Students bring a $1 to wear yellow/purple in honor of Ollie Tetloff, the little MES boy who recently lost his battle with cancer. All proceeds to be donated to the family.
Saturday, August 9th- MHS Leadership Workshop 9am-2pm at MHS Cafeteria. All SGA students required to attend. Lunch plans TBA (not sure if it will be provided-we are working on it) Informal dress-come ready to plan, work, and play!!!!
Alabama Public Television (APT) is looking for student reporters for year two of its webcast series, Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement. The deadline to apply is August 25, 2014.
