Seniors: Your permission forms for the Fall College Fair to be held at UM are due to Ms. Allen tomorrow.

The Powder Puff game has been moved to Thursday September 28th. It will not count towards homecoming points but be a stand-alone event.

Do you like to create and collaborate with your peers to solve engineering problems? Do you like to use your imagination and innovation to design your own skits or plays? Then Destination Imagination is the club for you! There will be an interest meeting for Destination Imagination this Wednesday, September 20th, after school from 3:15 – 4:15 in Mrs. Gothard’s room 114.

Juniors and Seniors: A representative from the Univ of South Alabama will be on campus TOMORROW during Senior GPS to meet with interested students. The sign up sheet is outside Ms. Allen’s office.

Juniors and Seniors: A representative from the Univ of Montevallo will be on campus Thurs., during Senior GPS to meet with interested students. The sign up sheet is outside Ms. Allen’s office.

Seniors: The deadline to have your UM College Fair permission forms to Ms. Allen has been moved to Thurs. You must submit your completed form in order to attend.

Anyone interested in joining pep club see Coach D. Membership fee is $35. Benefits are t-shirts, discounts on all sporting events, get in some sporting events for free, do not have to stand in line, and represent the Bulldogs student section. Last year we had 75 members. This year lets reach 100.

FCCLA will meet in Mrs. Carter’s room at 3:05 for a 30 minute meeting on Wednesday, September 20th

MHS News 9/15/2017

Bulldogs will play tonight against BB Comer @ 7 pm. Come out and show support!
Teachers will play the class winners of dodgeball this afternoon! Come out and see if the teachers can claim a victory!
Tickets will be sold today during lunch. Cost is $2. Those not attending the game will be held in study hall.
Softball Evaluations will be TOMORROW 8:00-10:00 AM & 11:30-1:30 PM. Any questions see Coach Niven or Coach DuBose.

The Homecoming parade & pep rally are still on tonight! The lineup begins at 5:00 at MHS and the Parade will start at 6:00. The community pep rally will immediately follow the Parade at the stadium. The best places to watch are Middle or Island Street. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Softball Evaluations will be on Saturday 8:00-10:00 AM & 11:30-1:30 PM. You must attend both sessions. Players interested in playing must sign up and pick up a tryout packet in Coach DuBose’s room, Room 110. To tryout you must have proper paperwork on file before the tryout date. The deadline to sign up and get paperwork returned is Thursday, September 14. No paperwork, no tryout. Any questions see Coach Niven or Coach DuBose.

Bulldogs @ American Christian tonight 7pm Come out and support the DAWGS!

If you plan on participating in Powderpuff as a player, coach, or cheerleader, please see Coach Niven starting Thursday to pay your $5 participation fee. You will also need a participation permission/release form signed as well. You can get those from Coach Niven or your Grade Level HC Sponsor. If you signed up to play in the Dodgeball and Volleyball Tournaments during Homecoming Week, you need to pay your Grade Level HC Sponsor $3 for participation in each tournament or $5 if you play in both.

PROGRESS REPORTS GO HOME TOMORROW

Sr. portrait orders are being taken in the cafeteria until 8 am today.

*Attention Juniors: If you are a socially conscious student leader who desires to engage in hands-on experiences meant to enhance your community, then Youth Leadership Shelby County needs you. YLSC is a 6 month program that begins with a mandatory retreat in Nov. See Ms. Allen for an application. Space is limited.

HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS

Homecoming Shirts are on sale for the public! The front is same as the classes; however, the back of the shirt will be blank (the classes each have Class of ____). SGA went with a very simple design this year.

Shirts will be on sale for $10 through next Tuesday, 9/5/17.
