A representative from the University of West Alabama will be on campus today at 1:30. We will be on an activity schedule, so please note that this will not be the normal 7th period time. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office.
A representative from the University of Alabama –Huntsville will be on campus tomorrow during 7th period in the library. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office.

Powder Puff Game Friday Night @ 6:00 pm.
STAND is participating in the Out of the Darkness Walk this Sunday at Heardmont Park at 1:30. The walk is an effort
to raise suicide awareness and all MHS students are invited to join the team. Please see Ms. Allen if you are interested in participating in the walk.
Attention Freshmen, Sophomores, & Juniors: You should receive your school picture proofs today. Please return them by Tuesday, November 12 even if you are not ordering. If ordering picture packages, please fill in the necessary information on the envelope & order form, and return them in the same envelope with payment. You may turn them in
to Ms. Ham or to Mrs. Majors in the main office.

It’s scholarship season and Ms. Allen wants to remind you to give her copies of any scholarship award letters you receive.
Any senior who has not picked up graduation exam results should see Ms. Allen.
All Seniors need to bring a baby picture to Ms. Ham before Friday, November 1st. Please be sure to write your first & last name on the back.

**REMINDER: The football game scheduled for Friday has been changed to Thursday @ Leed’s. This game will be televised on Channel 68.

Seniors: It’s scholarship season and Ms. Allen wants to remind you to give her copies of any scholarship award letters you receive. Congratulations to Seth Hawks and Danielle Blake for recently reporting lucrative scholarship offers from The University of Mobile and Troy University respectively.

**Our Lady Dawgs Volleyball Team will begin the Area Tournament tonight at Indian Springs beginning at 5 pm. Come out and show your support!
**Congratulations to the Marching Troubadours for again earning ALL superior ratings at the Pride of
Hayden Marching Festival at Hayden High School this past Saturday. In addition, the band earned the Best in Class Band award for Class AA. This is the second straight contest to earn this award!

A special thank you to everyone for helping to create such a wonderful Homecoming experience. From dress-up days, skits, student games/activities, parade, homecoming court, the football game, to the dance, our students handled the week in the best way. A special thanks to SGA and PTO for partnering in the dance – it was a great event.

Sophomores:
Field Trip Permission forms to the Shelby County College & Career Center are due to Ms. Allen by 2:00 today. Late
forms will not be accepted. The trip is Oct. 17.
Freshman:
Scoliosis Screening– Oct. 18, 2013 for all 9th graders
All Students:
Today is the deadline for the PSAT sign up. There is a $15 fee for the test and space will be limited. Please see Ms.
Allen if interested.
Those who are going to the zoo with Mrs. Cabrera Sunday evening. Be at the school AT 3:15 SUNDAY
