*Seniors: The September edition of the Senior Newsletter is now available. You can download from Ms. Allen’s blog or pick up a copy from the library or guidance office. Each monthly newsletter will contain important dates, scholarship updates, and event announcements.
*Students: The NACAC Fall College Fair will be held at the BJCC on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 1-4 p.m. Interested students should register atwww.gotomyncf.com. Be sure to print your barcode sheet.
*”The girls soccer team will be having tryouts Saturday September 17 at 1:00 PM. All players need a current physical on file with the school and a signed consent form. Any interested students can pick up a consent form in Mr. Cooley’s room, number 203.”

*FBLA would like to send a special “Thank You “ to everyone who made a donation Friday night for the flood victims in Louisiana. Donations will be accepted through Friday Sept. 1. You may send or drop off your items in the main office.

*Attention Juniors and Seniors: Due to circumstances out of our control, the Big Brothers Big Sisters program will not be able to consider students who submitted applications during the late process last week. Only those students who completed training and interviews during the summer will be able to serve as volunteers at this time. However, please consider applying next year!

*Bulldogs will host West Blocton tonight 7 pm. Adm $7.00 Don’t forget to drop off a toiletry item for the flood victims and receive a free bag of popcorn. Donation tent located beside the ticket booth. Donations will still be accepted next week at the high school.

*FBLA will be sponsoring a Donation Drive for the flood victims in Louisiana. Bring a toiletry donation to the game Friday night , drop off at the tent located beside the ticket booth and receive a free bag of popcorn.

*Pep Rally theme for tomorrow is “Tackle the Tigers” and students can wear their favorite team’s jersey .

*School Fall Pictures & Sr. Portrait Make-ups will be tomorrow.

*All pep club members are reminded to bring in their membership money as soon as possible. Football Tickets will be sold during lunch Friday for only $5 for all paid members. Members will also be able to walk through the pass gate.

*FBLA will be sponsoring a Donation Drive for the flood victims in New Orleans. Please bring in toiletry items and drop in the box located in the foyer. Items will be collected through Sept. 2. Please keep these people in mind when you are out shopping and pick up something extra for them.

The program invites students who are mature, responsible, and who want to become socially conscientious leaders of the future. Space is limited and the selection process is competitive. Interested juniors should see Ms. Allen for an application.

*Attention Juniors and Seniors: MHS has the opportunity to select 2 juniors and 4 seniors of high character to take part in the Youth Leadership Development Program. The program is very rewarding and students have the potential to earn scholarships, but commitment is crucial. See Ms. Allen if you are interested in being considered.

*Anime Club is having their first meeting after school TODAY in Mrs Pastor’s room 305 Alice Boyd building until 4pm.
