We will be reading Ender’s Game over the course of 5 weeks. Click on the link below for the reading/quiz schedule.
It is project time! The blueprint for the project will be due Friday, March 21st. The actual project will be due Monday, April 14th. All work (except painting) will be done at school.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR CHILD BRING THEIR MATERIALS TO SCHOOL. IN CASE OF AN ABSENCE PLEASE MAKE SURE THE MATERIALS MAKE IT TO THE SCHOOL FOR THE REST OF THE GROUP. THIS IS A 500 POINT GROUP PROJECT. THERE IS NO TIME TO SIT AND DO NOTHING BECAUSE MATERIALS ARE MISSING!
When bringing tools such as saws, hammers, drills etc. you MUST be a car rider and bring them in through the front office in a secure bag. They will then be delivered to my classroom or I will come get them. These items are NOT allowed on the school bus. Make sure your name is on everything that you bring for your project.
Larger materials are NOT allowed on the school bus and should be brought by car. Please park in a parking space to unload your items.
Any smaller materials may be brought to school in your backpack or a duffle bag that zips. These materials should remain in your possession until they come to my room.
If you are causing a disruption with your materials, disciplinary action WILL be taken.
YOU are responsible for YOUR materials!
Our annual Toys for Tots fundraiser is upon us. I will be collecting donations in my science class until Friday, November 22nd. Every little bit counts. Bring your pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, dollar bills and checks (made payable to OMMS) to your science class. The grade level that raises the most money will be rewarded with a pizza party. The blue team science class that raises the most money will also receive a pizza party from Ms. Turpen if their goal is met. Below you will find a letter that you can take around to your neighbors to encourage them to give to Toys for Tots. Thank you for supporting Toys for Tots!
I am hearing many of you did not get the field trip form that Mr. McGaughy sent home with the students a few weeks ago. Click on the link for more information.
We have begun processing I-Now applications. The application is on the school’s website, under students/parents. On September 12th, a link was sent on e-news. Forms are also available in the front office.
