Due to weather conditions that are unfavorable, the DI IC Festival has been cancelled for Saturday, January 21.  Several volunteers who were going to run the event, as well as several teams who were going to participate, were travelling from the northern part of the state and weather conditions are simply not safe.  I will let you know if and when the event will be rescheduled.

January 4-6

January 4th, 2017 · No Comments

Welcome back!  We are going to begin our first novel study of the school year this week.  It will take us through February 3.  I am attaching the handout calendars for both groups 1 and 2, just in case you need an extra copy.  If you have a device and want to purchase the book as a download, feel free to do so and bring your device to class.  I do not have enough copies of the book to check one out to everyone.  However, most people will have ample time in class to complete the reading assignments and I will have multiple copies at the end of each school day available for overnight check out.

DI morning practices are available Monday-Thursday beginning at 7:15 for any group wishing to work on their skits, team choice elements, etc.  DI permission slips for the upcoming instant challenge festival (to be held Saturday, January 21) are due by Friday, January 13.

DI TEAM MEMBERS: PLEASE CLICK ON the “Destination Imagination: January Reminders” page on my blog to see more detailed information.

Chess club meets Friday at 7:00 a.m.  Anyone interested in joining may pick up a registration form from me or print one out.

Report cards go home Friday during lunch class.  Please remember to get these signed and return to your lunch teacher next week.
