The Civil Rights Movement booklet will be an ongoing assignment throughout the 4th nine weeks. We will work daily on drawing representations of key terms and people of the Civil Rights Movement. The assignment must be finished for homework and turned in no later than Monday, May 16.

During the 4th nine weeks we will be covering the Cold War, Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War Years, and a look at America today.
The African American Poetry Project is due on February 16th. A sheet of guidelines went home with the students on January 28th.
During the third nine weeks, we will be studying the following units:
The Roaring Twenties/Jazz Age
The Great Depression/Dust Bowl
World War II
The Civil Rights Era (part 1)
We will also be completing a project to celebrate Black History Month.
The radio advertisement template is due on Monday, January 11th.

The Social Studies 2nd Nine Weeks Exam will be on Thursday, December 17th. Study guides will be passed out on Tuesday, December 15th.
We have been identifying people, places, and events of the Great War.
We will begin working on our state projects today. Please encourage your child to complete this project. It will be worth 200 points. All projects are due November 16th.
