Helena Intermediate School Celebrating International Dot Day

Students at Helena Intermediate School will join over 800,000 participants from 57 countries to celebrate International Dot Day on September 12.  International Dot Day was started in 2009 by teacher Terry Shay because he believed so strongly in the powerful message in the book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds.

School-wide celebration activities at Helena Intermediate will begin on September 6, when students will watch a video of Principal Kathy Paiml or Assistant Principal Genet Holcomb reading the book.  Various dot-themed activities will continue throughout the week of September 9, culminating on September 12 when all students are encouraged to dress in dots.
