The Junior United Nations Assembly (JUNA) delegation at Riverchase Middle School will be sell Candy Cane Grams for $1 each November 18 through December 5.  Proceeds from the sale will benefit the victims of Typoon Haiyen, which has devestated the Philippines.  The event is being coordinated by Riverchase ESL teacher Hannah Rodgers, who is a Filipino-American.

“As an ESL teacher and JUNA sponsor I seek every opportunity to raise global awareness among my students, but this effort to raise funds for the four million Filipinos affected by the typhoon is especially dear to my heart as a Filipino-American,” Ms. Rodgers stated.
