Shelby County Board of Education Approves Technology Coordinator and Elvin Hill Assistant Principal Positions

The Shelby County Board of Education voted to approve recommendations for two administrative positions during their board meeting held July 11.  Lauren Woolley was approved as the new Technology Coordinator and Christy Kearley was approved as the new Assistant Principal at Elvin Hill Elementary.

Lauren Woolley photo Woolley had most recently been serving as a Technology Program Area Specialist for the Shelby County School System. She previously served as a Technology Resource Teacher and STI Data Manager.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo.

Christy Kearley photo Kearley is a National Board Certified teacher with over twenty years of experience and was most recently a teacher at Elvin Hill Elementary. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Science Disorders from the University of Montevallo and a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Ms. Kearley also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Montevallo.  Currently, she is enrolled at Samford University working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
