Scholars’ Bowl for Tuesday, October 26th

A big thank you to all members of the 6th grade team as well as to those spectators who came out to cheer us on! Helena played a tough match against Oak Mountain Middle School and came out on top for the first match!

We will not play a match against another team next Tuesday, November 2nd, but we will have practice in Ms. Watford’s room (B212). Bring your drink and snack to enjoy with other team members until we get going with our practice session. Students, review those information sheets I gave you today and even watch a show or two of Jeopardy before next Tuesday! I bet you’ll be surprised at how much you really know!!

Scholars’ Bowl for Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Helena Middle School will host Chelsea Middle School on Tuesday, October 19th, for this week’s Scholars’ Bowl match. Our 6th grade team will play their match in my classroom, A111. Team members should report to my classroom on the 3:00 bell so we can arrange desks and set up the buzzers for the match. Parents are welcome to proceed to my classroom anytime after the 3 o’clock bell!

Scholars’ Bowl for Tuesday, October 5th

We will not play a match Tuesday against Simmons Middle School as originally planned. We will however, hold practice here at our school beginning at 3:00pm until 4:30pm in Mrs. Watford’s room (B212). Bring a light snack if you would like to munch on something before we get started! Parents need to be on hand 4:20/4:30pm to pick your students up in front of our school.
