SOCIAL STUDIES
WE WILL NOT HAVE A FOURTH NINE WEEKS EXAM IN SOCIAL STUDIES.We are continuing our study of the Vietnam War and how the US became increasingly involved in that conflict. Classes will examine maps of Vietnam, including identifying the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Our week will conclude with a survey of America’s attitude toward the Vietnam War and the role President Nixon played in bringing the war to a close.

The Vietnam Era (Chapter 30) will be our topic of study for the next week. We will consider The Bay of Pigs, The Cuban Missile Crisis, as well as the increased involvement of the US in Vietnam during the 1960s.

We are making rockets this week!!! Each student in my science class needs to bring in the following:

1 empty (and rinsed out) 2-liter bottle
duct tape
1 piece of poster board (any color)

Our class will spend Thursday and Friday constructing our rockets so please make sure your student has their needed supplies!
