Week of September 12 – 16

We will continue our study of algebraic expressions/patterns this week. Students learned last week that an algebraic expression has to have certain components:
#1 – a variable #2 – a constant #3 – an operation symbol. Once we mastered that concept, we began replacing the variable with an actual number. We will continue to explore variables and how to substitute whole numbers for them as we evaluate (solve) algebraic expressions/patterns this week. We will also prepare for a short quiz on numeric, algebraic, and geometric patterns on Thursday, September 15th.
