Bullying and Harassment

Bullying and harassing behaviors in school are way more prevalent than we would like. There are several things we do at RMS to try to address the problem.

We have “bully boxes” in teachers’ classrooms for anonymous reporting.
We have forms that students can fill out if they are being harassed. Parents may also report harassment, and I am going to put a link on this entry that will take you to the form.
We offer counseling sessions to children who are being bullied and to those who bully others.
And, of course, we implement disciplinary consequences that vary with each individual child and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
