TMS REGISTRATION 2013-2014
Step 1:
Pre-registration packets will be coming home in the next few weeks to current 6th and 7th graders. This helps us get the majority of your paperwork completed before the final summer registration in August where your proof of residence is verified, and schedules and lockers are given out.

This year you will have the opportunity to also pay any fees in May (with your completed pre-registration) to expedite the August 5-6 registration nights, and to be put on the first-come, first-serve top locker distribution. Total suggested fees for 2013-2014 are around $105 and a breakdown of those fees will be included in your packet.

Step 2:
-Students entering the 7th grade will finalize registration with proof of residence; receive schedule and locker on Monday, 08/05/13, from 3pm-7pm.
-Students entering the 8th grade will finalize registration with proof of residence; receive schedule and locker on Tuesday, 08/06/13, from 3pm-7pm.

LIGHT IT BLUE

Each April 2, Autism Speaks celebrates Light It Up Blue along with the international autism community, in commemoration of the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day. Light It Up Blue is a unique global initiative that kicks-off Autism Awareness Month and helps raise awareness about autism. In honor of this historic day, many iconic landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges and retail stores are among the hundreds of thousands of homes and communities that take part to Light It Up Blue.

Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 88 American children as on the autism spectrum–a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years. Careful research shows that this increase is only partly explained by improved diagnosis and awareness. Studies also show that autism is four to five times more common among boys than girls. An estimated 1 out of 54 boys and 1 in 252 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States.
