This week we are reading “Tuesday of the other June” ,a short story in our textbook. The selection comprehension and vocabulary test will be on Friday.
Selection Vocabulary words are: pleasure, emerald, recited, rigid, worrywart, slink, bureau, torment, diploma
Academic Vocabulary: narration, plot, character, exposition, setting, complications, climax, resolution, sequence, synonym
Students were given their first Independent Reading Assessment guideline. The assessment product is due on September 14

I was glad to hear you share what you did in regards to if you are reading but missing the comprehension part how it matters. Gee! That concern has been expressed so many years to some others. We are glad that you do grasp that.
Comprehension matters greatly regardless if you can read over 100 wpm.
We believe that you will be a vital part to our son’s learning as you were when you taught his sister. You may be just who he needs at this time.
