Today students turned in their memoirs inspired by pictures from their photo albums. I can’t wait to read them tomorrow and share them with the kids next week.
Today we took a pre-announced OOPs test as a class on the Part 1 Frankfurt comprehension test. This past week we combed through the novel, reviewed who was who, reviewed literature terms, and vocabulary from the test and test taking tips using graphs, highlighting and discussion. They took the same test as last week and will be given the higher of the 2 scores. I am at a loss to explain why a student would not get an A or B on the test. It was multiple choice and only 1 answer was correct and the other 2 were just plain ridiculously wrong choices.
The next test is Feb 9 on Part 2 in Daniel’s Story. Student’s were given the words and homework sheet today.
The homework sheet and the next reading log is due on Feb. 9th
The words are:coup, camraderie, pilfering, scavenge, woozy, proficient, delousing, solidarity, clogs, vying, wavered, apprenticeship
