New reading logs were distributed in class as well as new vocabulary sheets, index cards and grade sheets.
Next reading log is due 11-9.
Next vocabulary test is on November 2—I dare not test 6th graders the day after Holloween.
Our next Independent reading project is due on 11-19. We are working on them in class and they will finish them at home. In an effort to ensure that students work independently I will not be posting instructions on my blog until 11-8. The minimums were explained to students today and they have note card guidelines. All notecards are to be hand written by the student. Samples of projects are in the room.
Please help students to keep their calendars and agendas in order. If students review for 5 to 8 minutes each night and spread out their written work in each class their grades will improve and parents and teachers will end the year with happy, successful students and a full head of hair.
We will be reading “And Ain’t I A Woman” and ” Preserving a Great American Symbol”
