Students were given index cards to study the parts of speech (p-o-s) that they are struggling with. They are to create a Frayer Model on the index card for the p-o-s they are learning. These will be checked on Wednesday. Students who passed the pre-test with a HIGH grade and told me they didn’t need any help received a different assignment. This assignment is also due Wednesday. Students will have time to work on these in class but some of it might need to be done at home as well.
I also suggested MANY ways to study such as: make flash cards, download a flash cards app onto a mobile device, check the worksheets below on THIS blog, use the grammar handbook in every desk in the classroom, use the grammar workbook that students can take home, and I also told students they could simply do a Google search for things like “online preposition quiz for middle school.”
