Advanced Endorsement Requirements
The following coursework is required to receive the Shelby County Schools Advanced Endorsement:
- Algebra II with Trigonometry
- Chemistry
- World Language (2 years of the same world language)
- One-half credit of an approve Fine Arts course
- Minimum of two AP courses with one in a core content or the equivalent (Dual Enrollment)

Grading Plan
GOLD Grades = Major tests and work products/projects will comprise of 60% of a student’s grade
SILVER Grades = Quizzes and secondary assignments will comprise of 30% of a students’s grade
BRONZE Grades = Homework and minor classwork will comprise 10% of a student’s grade
Semester averages will be comprised of two nine week grading periods each accounting for 40% of the final average and a cumulative semester exam accounting for 20% of the final average.
