Tryouts will take place on February 25th 2022 at 3:45
Clinic will be February 22nd-24th from 3:15-5:15 in the main gym.
Girls will learn a cheer, chat, and dance that they will perform during tryouts. They will also be judged on jumps and tumbling.
Deadline for submitting all forms and tryout fee $35: 3 pm on Wednesday, February 16th
Candidates may not continue with the tryout process unless all forms are turned in by the required dates.
Tryout Info:
- Once paperwork is turned in you will be invited to the Tryout Schoology Page
- Clinic: Feb. 22nd-24th 3:15pm-5:15pm in the main gym
- Tryouts: Feb. 25th 3:45pm-6:00pm in the Main Gym (girls need to be at school all day and must stay after school for tryouts)
- Tryout results will be posted on the Tryout Schoology Page Friday night
Tryout Requirements:
- A parent or guardian must attend the mandatory parent meeting or schedule a private meeting with the cheer coach by the paperwork deadline. If a parent does not attend the meeting or meet with the coach before this date, the student will not be eligible to tryout.
- Up-to-date physical signed by a physician.
- Candidates will meet the grade eligibility requirements per the Shelby County Cheer Constitution.
- Student must be enrolled at Chelsea Middle School
- Tryout Attire: Solid shirt and shorts (blue, black, white, or gray), hair in a ponytail, no jewelry
