Daily Duties

Your Daily Duties consist of 4 simple activities that will keep you out of trouble and continue to improve your skills.  Please be devoted to our team enough to do these 4 simple things every day.

  1. Check the Cheer BAND app for announcements and changes to the calendar.
  2. Do at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise!  You need to build up the stamina to stay strong throughout the whole routine.  You can look up cardio exercises on you tube and other places online, just DO SOMETHING to get your heart rate up!!!
  3. STRETCH!  Stretching will help you gain flexibility and improve your technique and overall dance ability.  Look up stretching suggestions and tips for cheerleaders online for new ideas.  Also, be sure to practice all jumps, hold the plank position (work up to 2 minutes), work up to 100 crunches, 50 push ups and do the wall split for 30 seconds each (deep, deeper and pulse).
  4. PRACTICE!  Practice all of our cheers, chants, dances.  Muscle Memory is an essential part of performing.  Learning a routine and technical skills involves developing body motor skills and training muscle memory.  You need to practice the routines enough times until you can do them automatically, without conscious thought.
