ANNOUNCEMENTS: 2/26/14

ATTENTION 6th gr Math Team – There will be no math team today!
Any NEW Beta Club member that did not attend this morning’s meeting needs to see Mrs. Sheehan in Trailer 1 before leaving TODAY.The next meeting of ALL Beta Club members is Wednesday, March 5th at 7:10 a.m. in the choir room. Please be sure to sign in at the meeting for your attendance to be counted
JUNA will meet this afternoon,( Wednesday), from 3:00 – 4:30 in Ms. Collins’ room. Parents must attend this meeting.

Congratulations to eighth graders, Tori Williams and Noel Glenn! Your selections will be published this Spring in the Shelby County Literary Arts Magazine!

Golf team members, there will be a MANDATORY parent meet at the end of golf practice on Thursday. Please tell your parents to be at Cross Creek at 4:45 on Thursday afternoon

CHESS CLUB will meet this Thursday afternoon in Mrs. Coxwell’s class until 3:55

Basketball and wrestling pictures are in – you can pick them up in the office

6th and 7th gr girls interested in trying out for middle school cheerleader – there will be a mandatory informational meeting on Thursday, March 13. Tryouts will be Friday,
April 18.

Miss CHMS Pageant and Little Miss Chelsea Pageant will be on March 8th in the middle school gym. Miss CHMS packets are available outside Mrs. Nivens’ classroom and Little Miss Chelsea details have been sent to the elementary schools for advertisement. All forms are due by February 28th. Email Coach Nivens with any questions at mnivens@shelbyed.k12.al.us

There will be a clinic for 6th and 7th gr girls interested in trying out for Starlets Dance Team or Majorette. The clinic will be tomorrow, Feb. 27 from 3 – 4:30 p.m. to review new requirements for tryouts. There will also be clinics March 15 and April 12 to prepare for tryouts in April. If you would like to order one of the new ChMS tee shirts, stop by the office and pick up an order form.

Remember to bring in your “Box Tops for Education”. This helps to raise money for our school. Turn your box tops in to your Math teacher. If you turn in 50 box tops, you will receive a pass to sit where want to during lunch.

Spring Pictures will be taken Monday, March 10, during P.E. classes
