Announcement! Mayor Niven proclaims April 20 – 26, 2014 as Parental Alienation Prevention Week and April 25, 2014 as Parental Alienation Awareness Day. “Just as bubbles flow freely, so should the love a child has for both parents!” Thanks to the Alabama leaders!

April is Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month; a time to emphasize that our children are innocent and deserve the leadership of the adults (parents, leaders, community) around them to ensure their health, wellness and safety.
This is an important community campaign that links “Parental Alienation” with “Child Abuse” because after all, it is one form of mental child abuse that children suffer.
Show your support for children by taking 10 minutes out of your day at noon on April 25th to blow bubbles for love. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTPX9jXrehs&feature=related) We encourage anyone to participate: mayor’s office, court house, churches, businesses, daycare centers, schools, etc. Anywhere people are present. You may also choose to decorate trees with blue ribbons at the local park or along the main street in your city to remind everyone of the precious nature of childhood and the responsibility to protect our children. Children should be encouraged to freely love each of their two parents regardless of their parents’ marital status. Take photos of your event and activities and send us a copy so we can include it in our 2014 Parental Alienation Awareness Day video clip that will be provided to the governor.
