Congratulations to the ChMS golf team for winning this final regular season match Thursday afternoon against Columbiana! Reese Pridgen led the Hornets with the low score of the match. All players made us proud! Go Hornets!
FBLA, remember to bring a teenage Easter basket to donate to Hands On Birmingham on Monday, the 14th.
We will complete our season on Monday with the Southern conference tournament at Bentbrook. Dylan Sampsell, Reese Pridgen, Emma Zaiontz, and Zachary Haskins will be representing us. Good luck!
ATTENTION 6th and 7th FOOTBALL PLAYERS:
There will be a change in how equipment will be distributed before spring practices. Equipment handout will be done BEFORE school from 7:10 – 7:40 next week, April 14 – April 18. Players will need to report to the football locker room upon first arriving at school.
Also, remember that updated physicals need to be turned in before being eligible to participate in spring practice. Physicals can be turned in to Coach Butler or Coach Bright.
PARENTS – a reminder that the football parent meeting will be on Thursday, April 17th, at 6pm in the cafeteria.
If you are interested in being STING the mascot next year, information and application can be located in the main office. Any questions see Ms. Cook.
The ChMS Talent Showcase scheduled for tonight (Friday) has been canceled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
6th and 7th gr registration packets MUST be turned in by Monday, 4/14. The supply packets must be ordered and paid for on-line. No money should be sent to the school at this time – ALL fees and proofs of residency will be taken at registration in July.
Orders for Spring Pictures need to be turned in today
Get ready for the Hornets X Games on Friday, April 18 from 3-6p.m. Cost will be $10.00. There will also be tickets on sale for a dunking booth and 3-man slingshot. There will be lots of games and fun! Get your team forms in P.E. to sign up.
You can purchase Live Blue/Hornets Wristbands in the office for $3.00 each. Wear your wrist band to the Hornets X Games and receive a free ticket to use at the dunking booth or 3-Man Slingshot.
Volleyball tryouts for 6th and 7th gr girls will be May 5, 6 & 7. Please sign up with Coach Cordes. You must have a current physical to try out.
There will be a skills clinic for girls interested in trying out for middle school dance team or majorette. The clinic will be held tomorrow, April 12. If you are interested, stop by the office for a registration form.
The CHHS Stars Dance Team will be hosting the Miss Spring Pageant April 19th at Chelsea High School in the auditorium. The office has forms for girls who are interested.
If you would like to order one of the new ChMS tee shirts, stop by the office and pick up an order form.
Remember to bring in your “Box Tops for Education”. This helps to raise money for our school. Turn your box tops in to your Math teacher. If you turn in 50 box tops, you will receive a pass to sit where want to during lunch.
