8th gr Scholars Bowl match will be at Simmons on Tuesday, January 19
FLBA members, we will not take our group picture on Tuesday, it will be next Wednesday 1/20 at 7:20 am. Please be sure to wear your shirts.
Any 7th and 8th grade boys and girls needing to complete make up golf tryouts need to see Mrs. McGrew in Room 13 by tomorrow (1/15). Make-up tryouts will be held next Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 3:45 at Eagle Point.
Save-the-date: February 11th, 3:30-5:30! We will be having our first EVER “Blue Valentine’s Day” dance for 6th graders ONLY! In showing our support and love for our school and the holiday, we would like for boys to wear collared shirts with a tie or bow tie, and girls to dress to impress, in Chelsea blue and a black, silver, or white matching piece. We want this to be an event to remember! More information will be provided as the event date gets closer!
7th & 8th gr Valentine’s Dance will be February 19, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. – dress will be semi formal
Peer tutoring will be available after school as needed. If you are interested in getting some extra help, sign up in the counseling office and we will pair you with a peer tutor.
8th grade students: high school is right around the corner so it is time to begin planning. The high school will have a parent meeting on January 25th at 6:00 pm in the high school auditorium. They will share important information about selecting courses so be sure to let your parents know. The high school counselors will then have you select your classes through your English classes that week.
8th graders: Remember to order your 8th gr Panoramic Pictures by filling out the order envelope and mailing it in along with the money. You can also go to www.PanoPhotoInc.com to order pictures. Extra order forms are available in the main office.
Attention 8th grade girls interested in trying out for Volleyball at the high school: The sign-up form is online at the CHMS Volleyball Blog.
Miss Chelsea Middle School pageant will be February 27. More details will be coming soon.
JUNA Australia will meet today (1/15) in room 108. If any students at CHMS know sign language for the deaf, please contact Mrs. Caiola.
If you are interested in participating in the ChMS Geography Bee, please stop by Mr. Laseter’s room, in the 7th gr hall, to sign up and get access to the app. The competition will take place on Tuesday, January 19, at 3:15 in Mr. Laseter’s room.
