CONGRATULATIONS TO the following band students: 8th grade GABRIEL COATS, bari sax and 7th grade EMILY ZHANG, oboe. These two students made the ALABAMA ALL-STATE BAND!!!!!!!!!!

All Beta Club inductees need to arrive for induction by 6:15 this evening. All Beta Club members who are not helping with set-up, need to arrive by 6:00 p.m.

6th grade Scholar’s Bowl will practice after school today (2/2) until 4:30
Coupon book orders and money should be turned in to your first period teacher no later than Feb 17. All ordered books will be delivered Friday, Feb 19. Checks should be made payable to ChMS and have a phone number written on the check. If you choose not to order coupon books, please return the sample book to your first period teacher.
Beta Club will begin selling Valentine Grams Wednesday, Feb 3, during lunch. Cost is $2.00 for a bag of candy. All proceeds will go to Lymphoma Society.
FBLA is selling Yummy Heart lollipops for $1 each. Purchase them for your friends, teachers or that special someone for Valentine’s Day. They will be on sale in Mrs. J. Cook’s room, on the 8th grade hall, before and after school from February until Feb. 12th. All lollipops will be delivered on the 12th during 6th period.
“If you would like a chance to possibly be published in the county Literary Magazine, please send your stories, essays, poems, or comics to Mrs. Kelley in the 7th grade hall, room #2, by Wednesday, February 3.”
There will be a parent meeting tonight (2/2) at 7:00 pm in the library for current 6th grade parents to discuss course selection for the upcoming school year. 7th grade parent meeting will be at 7:30 following the Beta Club Induction.
7th & 8th gr Valentine’s Dance will be February 19, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. – dress will be semi-formal. Tickets will be $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets go on sale February 16.
6th graders don’t forget- your Valentine Dance picture order forms and money are due this Friday, February 5th. The Blue Valentine’s Day dance is Thursday, February 11, from 3:30-5:30 admission is $10. Tickets will go on sell this Friday!
