ANNOUNCEMENTS
Sno cones will this Friday, May 6th. Prepaid cards will be handed out to your 5th period teacher. Sno Cones may be purchased for $3.
CHMS Cheerleaders are hosting at Zaxby’s tomorrow night (5/3) from 5-9pm.
Students interested in being a Peer Helper next year need to stop by the counseling office for more information.

We have created a Google Classroom for 6th and 7th grade girls interested in trying out for Volleyball, please get the code from the blog so you can join the class. Tryout Packets have been shared through the Google Classroom, print your own or get one from Coach J. Cook on the 8th grade hallway. These are due by May 6th.
8th grade girls trying out for high school volleyball…please remember that you are trying out Tuesday through Friday (5/3 – 5/6) and you’ll need to ride an early bus to the high school if you can’t get a ride. Check the Google Classroom if you aren’t sure of something, Coach Pickett has put reminders there.
6th grade girls interested in trying out for the CHMS 7th grade girls basketball team, tryouts will be tomorrow, May 3rd and Wednesday, May 4th from 3:15-5:30 in the gym. You must have an updated physical to try out. Physicals need to be turned in to Mrs. Brown by Monday today. Please sign up outside Mrs. Brown’s room. See Mrs. Brown for any questions.
7th grade girls interested in trying out for the CHMS 8th grade girls basketball team, tryouts will be Thursday May 5th and Friday May 6th from 3:15-5:30 in the gym. You must have an updated physical to try out. Please sign up outside Mrs. Brown’s room. See Mrs. Brown for any questions.
Attention Girls interested in playing High School Basketball. Evaluations will be held at the High School May 16-20. On Monday and Tuesday (5/16-5/17) from 3:30-5:30 and on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (5/18-5/20) from 5:30-7:30. You must have an updated physical and concussion form turned in to be able to participate. Please see Mrs. Brown for these forms and to sign up.
Current 6th and 7th graders, anyone interested in running Cross Country next fall, there will be an interest meeting, Wednesday, May 4, in Mrs. Burdette’s room at 7:15 a.m.
All current 8th graders are invited to attend the 8th grade banquet at Douglas Manor. It is a time to get together with your friends and celebrate all of your accomplishments in middle school with dinner and dancing! The cost to attend is $20. Please turn money in to your 1st period teacher. Money is due by Friday, May 6th
