Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team for fighting through three sets to defeat Briarwood last night. Also, congrats to the 7th grade volleyball team for defeating Helena and Briarwood last night. Come out Thursday to watch us take on Columbiana and Hueytown. 7th grade plays at the community center and 8th grade plays here in the main gym. $5 to enter!!

8th graders signed up for Scholars bowl: Remember tryouts are today after school in Mrs. Arrington’s classroom.

Students interested in running for an SGA position, come see Mrs. White in Room 212 to pick up an Election Packet today. A president, vice president, and representative will be elected for 8th grade. Two representatives will be elected for 7th grade and two representatives for 6th grade. Filled out forms will be due to the front office or Mrs. White no later than September 24. Please see Mrs. White if you have any questions.

This Friday (9/20) FCCLA will hold its 1st meeting at 7:20 in Coach Tucker’s room (Room 40). This is for anyone interested in foods, housing, clothing, or other related fields. If you cannot attend please see Coach Tucker or sign in to the Google Classroom using the code found in the 7th or 8th grade halls.

The 2nd and final day of tennis tryouts will be Wednesday at 3:30 at the YMCA.  Attendance is required.  See Coach Green is you have questions.

If you are interested in joining JUNA, look for the tear-away flyers located in the hallways. Applications are due on Google Classroom by Wednesday, September 18th at 9:00 p.m.

Audition videos for Chelsea Singers must be submitted by Thursday, September 19th.  All students, 6th-8th grade, can try out.  Ask a choir student or see Mrs. Rogers to find out where to submit your videos.

 6^th & 7^th gr students interested in Scholars Bowl – sign up now for tryouts! There are sheets by the front office and 6th grade hall with the Google Classroom CODE.

Orders for school pictures need to be turned in at the front office by Wednesday, September 18. 

Absentee Pictures will be taken Monday, Sept. 23

Boys Basketball Tryouts will be Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9:00 – 11:00 am at the middle school gym. Sign up outside the boys locker room. See Coach Jackson for more details.

 October 3rd Chelsea Middle School will “go pink” for the kick off to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Wear your pink shirt to school and then to the game. Come support your CHMS team and ROCK YOUR PINK!  Pink shirts are $18.00 and can be ordered until September 18.  See Coach Trice for more details.
