There will be a SGA meeting Friday February 7th before school at 7:20. Please meet in Mrs. White’s room

Congratulations to the girls tennis team for their 8-1 win over John Carroll and to the boys team for their 6-3 win.  Players of the game were: Sage Speer and Shea Keenan. 

There will be no golf practice this week

Mr. Goodall’s Homework Club and 6th gr Math Team are canceled for this week

The Miss Chelsea Middle School Pageant is March 7th – you can get information from Mrs. Nivens in room 105.

7th grade Scholars Bowl will meet this afternoon (2/5) in Mrs. Green’s room.


6th gr Blue Valentine Dance will be Tuesday, February 11, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. You may purchase your ticket in the cafeteria during lunch.  Tickets are $10.00 ea.  Concessions will be sold and a photographer will be available.

During the month of February the Peer Helpers are coordinating a supply fundraiser for the Shelby Humane Society.  Look for posters regarding supplies needed.  Items may be dropped off with Mrs. Brown in the 6th gr hall, Mrs. Howard in the 8th gr hall and Mrs. Van Der Geest in the 7th gr hall.  Supplies needed are:

·         Canned wet puppy or kitten food

·         Canned wet dog food (solids)

·         Dry kitten food (unopened bags only please)

·         Non-clumping clay cat litter

·         Cat toys

·         14 x 11 x 4 cat litter boxes

·         Small washable blankets

·         Towels

3-Point Competition Fundraiser for CMS Athletics Booster Club

  • Location: Chelsea Middle School Gym
  • When: March 5th immediately after school lets out, meet in the gym.  Students can start being picked up at 4:15pm at the Main Entrance to the GYM.
  • What: Get bragging rights by being the 3-point champion of Chelsea Middle School
  • Cost: $5 per person to be in the competition
  • Students who enter will meet in GYM Lobby to be signed in day of competition
  • Attendance (Students Only): $2 if you don’t want to be a part of the competition but want to stay and cheer on your friends.  Pay admission at the door
  • Concessions: $1 for drinks & candy, $2 pizza slices
  • Rules: 
    • Open to all 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Boys & Girls 
  • Each gender will shoot separate, at either end of court
  • 4 basketballs at each station, 3 stations total behind the 3-point line
  • Shooting must start behind the 3-Point line, stepping over the line before releasing the ball will disqualify the shot.  Coach Brown and Coach Jackson will be the referees.
  • Start in any corner shooting all balls at the station before moving to the next station
  • Make your way to all stations in under a minute; last shot must leave your hand before time is up 
  • Made baskets is the total, each made shot is 1-point 
  • Any ties will be broken by a shootout at the end of all participants finishing; 30 second shootout until a winner is crowned 
  • Appropriate shoes for gym floor must be worn
  • All attire must comply with Shelby County Board of Education Dress Code
  • NO PERSONAL BASKETBALLS ALLOWED
