CONGRATULATIONS to the 8th grade Scholars bowl team for receiving the 2nd place trophy at the county tournament Friday.
Also, congratulations to Joel Young! Not only did he receive highest individual score for our team, but he received 1st placed for the highest individual score in the county!!

6th graders donated the most coats and will win doughnuts for the class! 8th graders came in 2nd and 7th graders came in 3rd. Any SGA members who can, need to stay briefly for a short meeting in Ms. Houston’s right after school today.
If you are interested in participating in yearbook next year, applications will be passed out during meetings next week. You must attend only one of the meetings – either Tuesday, 2/13, or Thursday, 2/15, at 7:25 a.m. Meetings will be in Mrs. Nivens’ room #105 in the 6th gr wing.
Attention 8th grade girls: Clinic and auditions for the High School Danceline and Majorettes will be held March 5th through 9th. Tryout packets are due by Wednesday, February 28th. There will be a mandatory parent information meeting on Thursday, February 22nd at 6 p.m. in the high school band room. Tryout information and forms can be found online at the Stingettes’ website. Search for keywords “Chelsea High Stingettes.”
FBLA is selling Valentine Grams before school. We have chocolate heart and chocolate flower lollipops for $1 each. All lollipops will be distributed to the recipient during advisory on Valentine’s Day.
