Cross Country has a meet at Veteran’s Park in Alabaster today. Girls run at 5 and boys at 5:30. Run, hornets, run!
Any 7th or 8th grader interested in Art Club needs to pick up an informational form outside of the art room. The first meeting is next Thursday, Sept 6
Interested in learning about world issues? See yourself as a leader? If the answer is yes, apply to Junior United Nations of Alabama (JUNA). Use the Google Classroom code s79r942 to join, learn more about the team, and fill out the application. Flyers with code information are in the hallways. 6th, 7th, or 8th grade students interested in learning to play a fast-paced game with buzzers and trivia questions from a variety of topics including math, science, sports, music, literature, mythology, current events and more should try-out for Scholar’s Bowl after school on September 11th from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Students who are invited to be on the team will travel in the Birmingham Metro League against Berry, Vestavia, Liberty Park, Pizitz and more before going head-to-head against every middle school in Shelby County in February.

The first volleyball games are tonight, 8/30, at the high school at 6 and 8pm against Helena and Briarwood
Are you interested in singing and performing? We are beginning a new choir this year at Chelsea Middle School – Chelsea Singers. This is an advanced group, but auditions are open to anyone at ChMS. Chelsea Singers will meet before school once a week, so this is a great opportunity for anyone who loves to sing but couldn’t take choir as an elective. Auditions will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday, September 4th and 5th. Sign-up for auditions on Mr. Mandt’s door and see him for more information.
FCA will meet before school on Fridays in Coach Lovett’s room
Flu shots will be given at school for students on Oct 17, 2018. Forms will come home as soon as we have them. YOUR STUDENT WILL HAVE TO HAVE A COMPLETED FORM WITH SIGNATURE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FLU SHOT CLINIC AT SCHOOL. Please contact school nurse if you have any questions.
