The deadline for 8th grade personal ads for the yearbook has been extended until 12/5/18. Instructions are available on the yearbook blog!!

The Chelsea Middle School Bands will present their concerts on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Chelsea High School Auditorium. We accept non-perishable food items as “admission” to support our hometown Heavenly Smiles Food Pantry.

Each band is scheduled, so that our families and friends can come and go as needed.

Beginning Band 6:00 p.m.

Concert Band (7/8 gr) 6:45 p.m.

Symphonic Band (7/8 gr) 7:30 p.m.

FBLA is making care baskets for the parents of babies in NICU. We are asking for donations to put in these baskets. Please consider bringing items such as magazines, comfy socks, travel size toiletries, snacks, or anything else you would find useful in a hospital waiting room. There will be drop off bins located at the main office and in Mrs. Smith’s room in the 6th grade building.

FBLA members – There will be a short meeting on Tuesday 12/4 at 7:15 am in Mrs. Smith’s room.

Miss Merry Christmas Pageant will be Saturday, December 8th, at 2:00 pm in the CHMS cafeteria. See Mrs. Nivens’ blog for a link to the pageant page for details and to sign up.

ChMS Cares reminds you to please bring in a small, unwrapped toy or gift card for Salvage Christmas, a toy drive to benefit children in Panama City from birth to 12th grade impacted by Hurricane Michael. Drop-off locations are in the following places: 6th grade – Mrs. Arrington or Mrs. Stallings, 7th grade – Mrs. Evans, and 8th grade – Mrs. Howard. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, December 5.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) will meet on December 3, 2018 in the FACS Classroom at 7:15 am. Please check Google Classroom for other important information.

Parents of students who have gone to or are at PAL: If you sent medicine to PAL with your child and would like to take it home, please come in and sign it out before 1:00 pm on Dec 14. These meds will not be kept after this date. If you have any questions please see the school nurse or call 682-7213.

The Winter Dance is December 7th from 5:30-7:30 for 7th graders and 6:00-8:00 for 8th graders. Tickets cost $10 and go on sale next week.

The Band is selling candy cane grams for $1.00 each. Sales will be extended through Monday, Dec. 3 and will be delivered during Advisory period on Dec 5. Buy one for your friends or your favorite teacher to spread some holiday cheer!!! This will be the only candy that will be distributed during Advisory on Dec. 5.

Final Assessment Schedule:

Monday, December 10- Fine Arts/Career Tech/ Physical Education/Foreign Language/Any course that receives high school credit may use this day for the first half of their semester exam (Algebra I, Spanish I, etc.)

Tuesday, December 11- Math/Social Science/Any course that receives high school credit may use this day for the second half of their semester exam

Wednesday, December 12- English and Science

Thursday, December 13- Makeup Exams

Friday, December 14- Lunch will be early and we will have the Faculty-Student Basketball Game; Student dismissal is 1:00

We will run a normal 1-6 schedule on these days and will not have advisory on the 12th.
