WELCOME to kindergarten! I hope that you and your family had a relaxing summer break and are ready to begin an exciting year at Wilsonville Elementary. To tell a little about myself, I live her in Wilsonville with my family Adam Newman (husband), two sons Wyatt and Lane, and my daughters Henlie and Haylen. I graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I graduated in 2011 with a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama. Teaching is my passion, and I cannot see myself doing anything else. I have fallen in love with Wilsonville Elementary and the students who brighten the halls. I am extremely excited about what is in store for us this year! Your child will encounter many new things in kindergarten. We will work together learning about how to be a successful student. We will investigate trees, weather, and the leaves in our science units. In math we will embark on a voyage of learning about new topics and new ways of thinking. I look forward to working with you to create a positive and productive school year.The parent-teacher relationship is vital to your child’s success in school.
