“A friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and mysterious lights pass overhead as we all pretend to sleep. Welcome to Night Vale”
I greatly enjoyed Joseph Fink & Jeffery Cranor’s novel, “Welcome To Night Vale”. WTNV, as One might call the novel for short, was very well written, with many different charming characters, and plenty of humorous but subtle references to the Welcome To Night Vale podcast. The creativity put into the novel is astounding, with completely original places and ideas. With characters ranging from fly salesmen to moody teenage shape shifters to monstrous carnivorous librarians, the story keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire read. The two main characters, both lead by the two words “King City” go on an adventure to find out surprisingly similar but immensely different things. Battling librarians and the vague yet managing government agency that watches their every move, they fight to find answers to questions that should have been answered years ago.
Anywho, I enjoyed Welcome To Night Vale, and I recommend you read it or listen to the podcast at some point.
